Focus Trade Show + Blogger’s Lounge

TPOLA Bloggers Lounge at CMC
During the Focus and Transit Trade shows a couple weeks ago at the CMC, Two Point Oh! LA hosted a blogger’s lounge right in the heart of it all, next to the runway. The blogger’s lounge provided bloggers (myself included) a home base where we could blog live about the shows, vendors and trends that we were seeing. The lounge featured a trend installation from Two Point Oh! LA members including Laurie Brucker of Laurie B. Style, Tiara from The Dope Girl, Kelsi Smith of Dedicated Follower of Fashion, and Heather Petrey of L.A. Fashion Snob.

Pop Beauty were on hand giving makeovers while I.C.O.N. provided blowouts. They gave out freebies (always a plus!) and talked to bloggers about their amazing product lines. I fell in love with Pop Beauty’s awesome colorful nail polishes, AND they are all completely eco friendly, free of formaldehyde  and PBAs. I.C.O.N. turned me on to their innovative protein based body building gel and their ‘reformer’ hairspray which was unlike any hairspray I’ve used in the past. Light, not sticky and perfect for California summers.

Pop Chips and DRY Soda were kind enough to provide us with refreshments and snacks and Anheuser Busch provided booze for the daily happy hour in the lounge each afternoon. LOVE pop chips so I was a happy gal, and dry soda was surprisingly good…lemongrass soda? Yes please! I unfortunately didn’t have too much time to walk the whole Focus Trade Show but saw a few key designers that I loved including Darling (spotted Coury Combs of Fancy Treehouse downstairs working for them…she’s so pretty IRL!) and Kathryn McCarron.

At Kathryn’s booth she brought along a model to show off her designs who was none other than the lovely Alexis Hutt…you may recognize her from Nasty Gal as I did. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized she was on the first season of Janice Dickenson’s Modeling Agency. Regardless, she was the sweetest girl ever and I LOVE her look…she almost looks a bit asian doesn’t she? She currently lives in San Francisco and is represented by Look, one of my favorite agencies…they have such great girls.
