Friday night I was invited to attend the QVC 25th Anniversary Oscar Red Carpet Style Party at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. I brought along my friend, Sandra, one of the super stylish shopgirls of Creatures of Comfort for this celeb-filled fancy event! We kept our spirits up through the rain and swampy mud by dining all night on mini versions of grilled cheese sandwiches, caviar, crab nachos and red velvet cupcakes, while sipping on champagne. It was heavenly to say the least! It was a bit crazy but I had so much fun and met some great people.
Hard to see (waaaay too crowded, cold and wet for pics), but I wore my Opening Ceremony x Woolrich skirt, F21 Lace top, Mustard jacket by Nicholas K, Zara Bow Heels, Black Vintage Clutch, Silver-tone Double Cage Ring and United Bamboo Bangle (similar and in rose gold).
Sandra and Candace Bulishak of Tarte
Before the event, I enjoyed myself in the uber decadent QVC Pampering Suite, and had my makeup done by Tani Valentin of Tarte Cosmetics. I’ve never looked or felt so glamourous in my life (I wish I had better pictures to show you how awesome of a smokey eye I had). Their environmentally conscious and cruelty free makeup help reduce your carbon footprint, and they even offer a line of vegan makeup…AMAZING! I am definitely going to be placing an order when I clean out my beauty drawer…soon I hope, ha. I’m especially interested in the Maracuja Oil which contains pure extracts from the exotic Amazonian flower…way cool right?
After getting all dolled up, my recently cut locks were styled by the fabulous Gareth Bromell of Neil George Salon in Beverly Hills. I’m not used to up-dos but he somehow turned my messy mop into the most elegant work of art! Completely fell in love with my hair, and Gareth who recently just moved to LA from London. Seriously cannot wait to go and visit him at the salon…might need to find a way to sneak myself into his appointment book 😉
